Kidstory

One circle

of connection, memory, and imagination

Always

private to your family

Storykin was created in response to a simple observation: families are more separated than ever, and the stories that hold them together are quietly fading away.

The kin-story — the kind told around a kitchen table, on a long drive, at a birthday celebration — is nearly extinct. Not because people don't want to tell them, but because the moments to share them have been lost to distance, to busy lives, to the silent assumption that there will always be more time.

There won't always be more time. As our elders age, the window to record their stories narrows. Memories unshared are twice lost.

We built Storykin to change that. Kinstory gives families a beautiful, guided way to capture the irreplaceable details of their lived experience — the smell of a grandmother's garden, the sound of a father's laugh, the migration that shaped a family's values forever. These become a private living library: rich, authentic, uniquely yours.

Kidstory then takes those real characters and carries them into a child's imagination — as explorers, inventors, adventurers. A great-grandmother becomes a giant in the family fable. The life story of the remembered becomes a springboard for the future.

This is what makes Storykin different: it doesn't just preserve family stories for posterity. It re-animates them for today and tomorrow. Connection, continuation, and joy — and, above all, it's fun.
